PDM-IF User Group

The main objectives of the PDM-IF User Group are to document common industry use cases and derive business requirements. These use cases cover the external collaboration between partners as well as the internal collaboration within a company. Based on the use cases, requirements to the PDM data exchange and the processing applications are defined. These requirements apply to the PDM standards (STEP AP242) as well as the implementations based on these. One central requirement is to handle the relevant data within its context and include the context as seamless in the data exchange.
